Loads of goals as weather finally co-operates

Under Eleven Schoolboys

Tombrack United v Courtown Hibs

Another good performance from this Under Eleven side who are producing excellent performances week after week and this group of players should do very well when they step up to Under Twelve next season. Jack Sheridan and Rian Buttle put in top class  displays in this overall good team performance

Under Thirteen Schoolboys

Tombrack United  1  Rathnure United  2

Our Under Thirteen boys had pulled themselves into a challenging position and this game at home to leaders Rathnure was always going to be a big game. Both sides were well up for the game and the first half was played at a furious pace with both sides creating chances but despite shading the possession, Tombrack found themselves a goal

Good Wins for Under 14 and 18 girls teams

Wexford Schoolboys League Under Nine and Under Ten

The only two schoolboy games to survive the weekend were the two non competitive games with the Under Nines playing Bunclody indoors on Friday evening while the Under Tens hosted Bree United on Saturday morning. Both sides continue to grow in numbers and play some excellent football and if they continue to produce these performances, the future of the club is in safe hands.

Wexford Schoolgirls Under Eleven Division One

Tombrack United  1  Fastnet Rovers  3

The long break caused by the weather and Christmas did not do our Under Eleven girls any good as a poor first half performance saw them fall to their first defeat of the season against a hard working Fastnet side who scored three goals in the first half and although Mikayla Tobin Cosgrave did score for our girls, they trailed 3-1 at the break. Tombrack played much better in the second half and dominated the game but could not break down a determined Fastnet side who held on for the three points. While this is a setback for Tombrack, the destiny of the league title is still in their own hands

Men go down at home to Rovers

Wexford Football League Premier Division

Tombrack United  0  Shamrock Rovers  4

After last weeks defeat at home to Bridge Rovers, this was always going to be a tough game for our lads as Shamrock Rovers are currently in title winning form and were in no mood to slip up in Ballyboy. Missing Kevin Kenny (injury) and Rory Newe (suspension), the lads were still in good shape but Rovers started the game at a furious pace and had Tombrack pressed back for long periods of the first half and Paul Darcy and his defence were called on time and time again to scramble the ball away.

Good performances all round

Under Nine Schoolgirls and Under Nine Schoolboys

Both of our youngest underage teams were out this weekend, the girls in Bunclody last night and the boys in Gorey Celtic this morning. Although we are not allowed to publish results or reports for these games, I am delighted to say that both teams are performing well with good numbers. Well done to everyone involved with a special mention to the players and coaches today who had to endure one of the coldest days of the season

Under Thirteen Schoolboys

Tombrack United  2  Bree United  1

Our Under Thirteen Boys stay in contention for at least second in the division when they overcame Bree United in a breezy Ballyboy this afternoon. Patrick Murphy gave the lads a first half lead but it was short lived as Bree were quickly back on level terms bringing the sides level in a scrappy first half. Tombrack were much better in the second half and took all three points when Niall Mimnagh scored to give the lads a well deserved win

Under Fifteen Schoolboys

Gorey Rangers  4  Tombrack United  2

Our Under Fifteen boys had a tough task when they travelled to Gorey Rangers to take on the unbeaten divisional leaders. The lads have moved up into a strong mid table
