Wexford Football League Division One

Tombrack United  4  Adamstown  1

A strong overall performance saw the lads pick up a vital three points in their battle against relegation as they overcame Adamstown 4-1 in Ballyboy. A first half goal from Mattie Hendrick had them 1-0 up at half time in a game where they were comfortably in control and were dealing well defensively with anything the visitors produced. However, a lapse of concentration early in the second half allowed Adamstown in to score an unlikely equaliser but it was the kick that Tombrack needed as they bounced back with two quick goals from Kevin Kenny and David Power before a late goal from Mick "Savo" Kelly rounded off a 4-1 win. Tombrack ended the game with ten men as Eoin Carton was sent off after a clash with an Adamstown player

Two big games coming up now as the lads face Bridge Rovers in Ballyboy on Thursday evening followed by a home against promotion chasing Glynn Barntown on Sunday
