Wexford Schoolgirls League Division Two A

Tombrack United  1  Bridge Rovers  2

This top of the table clash was a close fought encounter with both sides chasing the win, knowing that the three points would put them in a very strong position heading into the final games of the season. Tombrack got the better start and a goal from Megan Hayes had them 1-0 up at the break but the divisional favourites, Bridge Rovers, came on the attack in the second half drawing level midway through the half. The game seemed to be heading for a draw but a goal for Rovers thirty seconds from the final whistle broke Tombrack's hearts, disappointed after producing a strong hard working display for the hour. If Bridge slip up in their final game of the season, Tombrack still have a chance of forcing a play-off if they can beat New Ross Celtic away so still plenty to play for
